On Wednesday, August 3rd 2011, Suite101 had the pleasure to speak with American Idol alum Kimberley Locke. She talks about her newest EP Four for the Flour, her new indie label, and opens up about her music career after Idol.
Locke Talks Accomplishments
Locke is the most-charted American Idol alum in the adult contemporary and dance genres, with four #1 songs on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Charts.
“Interestingly enough I don’t look at it that way. I’m just excited and thankful that I have a career post-Idol. I’ve been one of the few who has been able to do that. Sometimes, I don’t realize how many songs have charted, until people quote it back to me. It’s just exciting to be doing what I love to do,” Locke says.
