There are several organizations that provide continued training on various topics to working police officers. Law enforcement training stems out into various branches. A lot of your studies are dependent upon where you wish to go with your career. Most police officers go through some variation of the following basic training courses.

Communication Skills

Unfortunately, throughout the years of law enforcement there have been complaints of excessive force. The Community Relations Service (CRS), created by the Civil Rights Act of 1964, is a U.S. Department of Justice agency which helps rectify community complaints. CRS provides a collection of classes such as communication skills and less than lethal tactics.
